Ukrainian Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko does not understand where the problems with providing for the military come from, if the state allocates UAH 5 billion daily to the security and defense sector. He spoke about this at “Business Breakfeast with Vladimir Fedorin.”

“Every day we spend UAH 5 billion on the security and defense sector. Every day of war. Who else is highlighting? They say local budgets and local governments. We calculated their capacity for a year – it varies from 15 to 20 billion. That is, if all local governments, all mayors quit, they will give us the opportunity to extend the war for four days.
With all due respect to the volunteers “No other non-governmental organizations come close to the state’s capabilities to provide the Armed Forces,” he said, answering the question of why the military still has to buy the necessary things at their own expense and rely on volunteers.

According to him, there should be enough equipment and weapons in military warehouses, so you need to ask this question to specific performers.
“It’s hard for me to comment on things that I myself don’t understand. I myself don’t understand “Why are we still providing military personnel,” the minister said.
