Advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mikhail Podolyak, admitted that Putin’s resignation from the post of President of the Russian Federation will not mean that Kyiv is ready to sit down at the negotiating table with the Russian Federation. However, this option is possible in the event of a complete withdrawal of Putin’s army from the territory of all of Ukraine.

“Only the complete withdrawal of the Russian army from Ukraine will make it possible to talk about peace negotiations. Moreover, it is important to resolve another issue: how Moscow plans to pay for the damage caused to Ukraine and its residents. However, all these conversations will become a reality only when Putin completely withdraws his army from Ukraine,” — he said.

The adviser to the head of the OP emphasized that it is wrong to start negotiations when the enemy army has not left foreign territory.

< p>“In reality, this means that Putin will continue to try to achieve all the goals he has set. It is impossible to talk about anything specifically if the Russian army remains in the occupied territory. The Kremlin will continue to declare that there are no crimes there, since these lands are not Ukrainian, but already Russian. In this case, Putin can even claim that he won this war,” — he said.

At the same time, Podolyak noted that the signing of any agreement, even a short one, is dangerous with new aggression if Putin’s army remains in the occupied part of Ukraine.

Remember, It was previously reported that Zelensky commented on calls for negotiations with Putin in the future.
