The representative of the operational-strategic group of troops “Tavria” Dmitry Likhovoy said on the telethon that the situation in Avdeevka, Donetsk region, is dynamic, street fighting continues in the city, and in this regard, backup logistics routes are provided in case of loss of the main supply route, Intferax-Ukraine reports. .
“As of now, the situation on the line of combat is dynamic and can change literally every hour… In case the main logistics artery is cut by the enemy, our command has provided alternate supply routes,” Likhovoy said.
According to him, street fighting has been going on in Avdeevka for several days, and the situation dictates a certain change in combat tactics, while the situation is “tense, but controllable.”
“In total, the enemy concentrated about 50 thousand personnel,” said Likhovoy.
He noted that no one is holding on to “piles of stones, piles of burnt iron,” and for the command, the main thing is to save the lives of the fighters and, if the situation becomes more complicated, to take them to another line: “to act flexibly, to act maneuverably in order to save these fighters for subsequent combat operations, to liberate the lost territory.”

At the same time, a representative of the OVSU “Tavria” emphasized that in recent days the occupiers have been shelling settlements of the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region west of Avdeevka with artillery and rockets, and this “shows what each of these settlements can turn into after the front line moves a little to the west.” “That’s why it’s very important to hold Avdiivka, that’s why it’s important to hold every Ukrainian city,” Likhovoy emphasized.
Recently, the speaker of the Tavria OSUV refuted the Russian IPSO regarding the alleged defeat of a training ground with Ukrainian fighters near Selidove. Dmitry Likhovoy noted that the Russians launched the IPSO even before the strikes were carried out on Selidov and the surrounding area. He also noted that, in principle, there cannot be any “training grounds” 20 km from the front line.
