The GRP resumed consideration of the disciplinary case against Judge Tandyr, who shot down and killed a National Guardsman at a checkpoint

The Disciplinary Chamber of the GRP stopped the consideration of the case at the end of January in order, allegedly, to receive answers to requests and necessary documents. Currently, Tandoor is in custody. Earlier it became known that Tandyr, while in a pre-trial detention center, receives a salary.

The GRP has resumed consideration of the disciplinary case against Judge Tandir, who ran down at the checkpoint>deathThe High Council of Justice (HCJ) announced the resumption of consideration of the disciplinary case against judge Alexei Tandir, who shot down a National Guardsman at a checkpoint and died. </p> <p>“On February 14, 2024, the Second Disciplinary Chamber of the High Council of Justice decided to resume consideration of the disciplinary case against the judge of the Makarovsky District Court of the Kyiv Region Alexey Tandyr,” the message says.</p> <p>It is noted that the disciplinary case was opened on January 10, 2024. On January 31, 2024, the Second Disciplinary Chamber of the GRP stopped the consideration of the disciplinary case for the period necessary to receive answers to requests, documents to confirm the presence or absence of circumstances that are the basis for bringing the judge to disciplinary liability.</p> <p>According to Hromadske , at the end of January, then member of the VRP Vitaly Salikhov said that he put forward a proposal to stop the proceedings because he did not have time to prepare a conclusion on the case. In particular, he asked the prosecutor’s office for information, but did not receive it for a long time, and he himself soon had to go on vacation. </p> <h3>The case of Judge Tandoor</h3> <ul> <li>On May 25, 2023, the chairman of one of the district courts of the Kyiv region, while driving a car, ran over a National Guard serviceman. As a result of the accident, the national guard died on the spot.</li> <li>According to the investigation, at the time of the accident the judge was intoxicated. </li> <li>In early August, the DBI completed a pre-trial investigation against Judge Tandir. Examinations confirmed the alcohol content in the samples.</li> <li>In the same month, the Kiev Court of Appeal rejected an appeal against the preventive measure against judge Alexey Tandyr.</li> <li>In October, the Svyatoshinsky District Court of Kyiv extended the arrest of the suspected judge for 60 days . </li> <li>It became known earlier that Tandir, while in a pre-trial detention center, receives a salary from the Makarovsky District Court of the Kyiv Region. Since the fatal accident, he was paid 63 thousand hryvnia monthly.</li> <li>In December 2023, Judge Tandir, who knocked down a National Guardsman to death at a checkpoint, was left in custody until April.</li> </ul> <p><!--noindex--></p> <p><a rel=lb.ua
