The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, together with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky, met in Kyiv with the Danish delegation led by the Minister of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Minister Umerov said that Ukrainian-Danish defense cooperation is increasing and a new unified mechanism for investing in Ukrainian companies is being developed. The priority in this area is direct investment, joint defense companies, localization of production in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian minister thanked his colleague for Denmark’s role in numerous initiatives in support of Ukraine, and especially for its solidarity in the provision of F-16 aircraft and the training of Ukrainian pilots.

“The defense industry plays a key role in helping Ukraine win this war. Mine clearance, unmanned systems, electronic warfare – these are the areas where our cooperation with partners is important for the development of modern defense capabilities,” said the Minister of Defense of Ukraine.

Rustem Umerov also expressed gratitude Denmark for a $330 million military aid package that will strengthen Ukraine's ability to repel Russian aggression.
