On Friday, May 10, the United States announced the allocation of another package of military assistance to our country, amounting to $0.4 billion, and now it has become known how soon American weapons and ammunition will arrive in Ukraine.

About the fact that the American defense department was able to ensure the delivery of a certain amount of weapons from the previous package of military support (announced when the bill was signed by US President Joseph Biden) to the positions of the Ukrainian army, and also continues to make every effort to deliver the remaining weapons and ;techniques, including new “Friday” cargoes, writes NBN, citing an explanation by White House Advisor John Kirby published by Ukrinform.
According to Kirby, who is an official representative of the Pentagon and the US State Department, certain “things” from the initial package have already ended up “on the battlefield,” that is, in the hands of the Ukrainian military. However, what exactly they managed to deliver is not specified due to operational security considerations.
The functionary added that the prompt delivery of military cargo to Ukraine became possible thanks to the preliminary placement of this aid in warehouses in European countries. However, certain categories of weapons (apparently, we are talking about Patriot air defense/missile defense) will take a little longer to “reach” Ukraine.
Kirby summarized:
The US Department of Defense [Pentagon] is literally moving heaven and earth to do this as quickly as possible. And now work is still ongoing on those supplies that remained in the previous package.
