Alexander brothers found guilty of sex trafficking in NYC federal trial; 11 women testified against real estate figures after five-week proceedings.

A federal jury in New York City has found Alon, Oren, and Tal Alexander guilty on all counts in a sex trafficking case, following testimony from 11 women who described being assaulted or drugged by the brothers, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to the ABC. The verdict concludes a five-week trial during which prosecutors presented evidence that the Alexander brothers, prominent figures in New York’s luxury real estate market, lured women to parties and nightclubs, assaulted them, and documented their behavior online.

Throughout the proceedings, prosecutors emphasized the consistency and severity of the allegations, with at least eight of the women claiming they were drugged by one of the Alexanders. U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton described the acts as “chilling, reprehensible, and unacceptable” and commended the victims for their courage in testifying, highlighting that their testimony prevented further potential abuse.

Defense representatives, including attorney Marc Agnifilo for Oren Alexander, immediately signaled plans to appeal, maintaining that the brothers are innocent and asserting that multiple legal avenues remain open. The Alexander family also criticized the handling of evidence and presentation of the case, with spokesperson Juda S. Engelmayer calling the verdict “deeply disappointing” and promising to continue pursuing justice. Federal sentencing for the brothers is scheduled for August 6, 2026.

The Alexanders, who made their name through their company Alexander Group, have been under federal investigation since late 2024. Prosecutors alleged that the brothers used their wealth and access to luxury experiences, including yachts and exclusive parties, to manipulate women into vulnerable situations. Federal prosecutor Andrew Jones described the brothers as presenting a public image of “party boys” while operating a methodical “playbook” of predatory behavior.

Testimonies indicated the brothers often used both drugs and force to assault victims and later boasted about these acts in online posts with titles that suggested the assaults were consensual. The prosecution emphasized that the women who testified had never met each other, came from diverse professional and geographic backgrounds, yet described nearly identical patterns of abuse.

During closing arguments, defense attorneys acknowledged that the brothers could behave inappropriately but strongly contested the allegations of assault and trafficking. Howard Srebnick, representing Alon Alexander, urged jurors to consider that no direct evidence of trafficking or assault existed, while Deanna Paul, representing Tal Alexander, argued that prosecutors were connecting unrelated events. Agnifilo suggested that the testimonies were influenced by dissatisfaction with personal encounters rather than criminal acts.
