Marta defeated Czech Marketa Vondrousova in two sets.

Ukrainian tennis player MartaKostyuk (No. 27 WTA) made it to the finals of the WTA 500 tournament in Stuttgart. In the semi-finals, she beat the eighth racket of the world, Czech Market Vondrousova, who is the current Wimbledon champion.

The match lasted 1 hour 36 minutes and ended in victory for the 21-year-old native of Kyiv with a score of 7:6, 6:2.

During her time on the court, Marta never served a miss, made 6 double faults and converted 4 out of 7 break points

For Kostyuk, this is the seventh victory in her career over a tennis player from the top 10 in the world ranking and fourth this year.

On the way to the finals of the competition in Stuttgart, the Ukrainian won three consecutive victories over tennis players from the top 10 of the world ranking. Before her victory over Vondrousova, she won an extremely difficult victory over the seventh racket of the world, Chinese Zheng Qingwen, and won a strong-willed victory over the third racket of the world, American Cori Gauff.

In the final Marta will play with the representative of Kazakhstan Elena Rybakina (No. 4 WTA), who in the other semi-final defeated the world number one, Poland's Iga Szwiatek, with a score of 6:3, 4:6, 6:3.

For Kostyuk this will be the third career final at the WTA level and second this year. In early March, Marta lost to Briton Katie Boulter in the decisive match of the WTA 500 tournament in San Diego, America.
