Samsung has officially unveiled its new budget smartphone, the Galaxy M17, featuring a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, an in-house Exynos 1330 processor, and a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization. The device is positioned as an affordable yet powerful option for users seeking advanced features at a moderate price, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to Gizmochina.
The smartphone boasts a Full HD+ resolution display with a 90Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1100 nits, ensuring clear visibility even in bright sunlight. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and a 13MP front camera is elegantly placed in a waterdrop notch at the top.
On the back, the Galaxy M17 houses a triple camera setup that includes a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor, allowing for versatile photography across various lighting conditions.
Powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1330 chipset, the device offers up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, expandable to 2TB via a microSD card. A 5000mAh battery supports 25W fast charging, providing all-day endurance. The smartphone runs on Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7 interface.
Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP54-rated dust and splash resistance, and a hybrid dual SIM slot. With a slim 7.5mm body, the Galaxy M17 stands out as one of the thinnest phones in its price category.
The Galaxy M17 will be available in Moonlight Silver and Sapphire Black color options. Pricing starts at approximately $141 for the 4GB + 128GB version, while the 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB variants are priced at around $158 and $175, respectively.
