Chinese robotics company AgiBot has set a new Guinness World Record for the longest distance walked by a humanoid robot. The bipedal automaton, named A2, covered 66.04 miles from Jinji Lake in Suzhou to the North Bund area in Shanghai between November 10 and November 13, 2025, breaking previous records and demonstrating unprecedented endurance and mobility, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to the official Guinness documentation.
During this journey, A2 navigated a combination of urban streets, national highways, and bridges, overcoming challenges such as night-day cycles and low-light conditions, while operating continuously without shutting down. Standing over five feet tall and weighing more than 150 pounds, the robot maintained stable movement across complex environments, according to AgiBot.
AgiBot describes A2 as capable of highly natural and comfortable human-robot interaction, making it suitable for roles in marketing, customer service, exhibition halls, supermarket guidance, front desk reception, and business inquiries. The robot’s advanced AI allows it to conduct real conversations in multiple languages, supporting various work tasks and human interaction scenarios.
This achievement highlights the ongoing development in bipedal robotics and artificial intelligence, positioning humanoid robots like A2 for practical applications beyond experimental demonstrations.
