Bitcoin, on Tuesday, December 5, reached a record high of $41.8 thousand.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to data from one of the largest European crypto exchanges, WhiteBIT.
Bitcoin reached $41,881, its highest level in almost a year and a half.
The world's largest and most famous cryptocurrency is up 51.1% from its yearly low of $26,533 recorded on October 11, 2023.
Today's figure is slightly below its all-time high of $63,000 in April 2021.
The total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies per day, according to CoinMarketMap, is estimated at $1.52 trillion.
Ethereum (ETH) is trading at $2.21 thousand. Other assets in the top 10 by capitalization are also predominantly in the “red” zone, according to WhiteBIT data.
In particular, WBT – $5.471, ADA – $0.399, XRP – $0.61.
