Air Force One jets are set to be repainted in the color scheme preferred by former President Donald Trump, featuring red, white, gold, and dark blue, reports Baltimore Chronicle via Yahoo. This update will apply to both the luxury jet donated by Qatar and the new VC-25B Boeing jets currently used for presidential travel. The Air Force One designation applies to any aircraft carrying the sitting president.
Additionally, four smaller C-32 jets, which are designated Air Force Two when the vice president is on board, will also undergo the repainting. These aircraft are commonly used by the first lady and Cabinet members for official trips. The existing blue and white paint design has been in place since the Kennedy administration.
According to an Air Force spokesperson, the first C-32 has already been painted and is scheduled for delivery to the Air Force in the coming months. Contractor L3Harris is overseeing the upgrades to the Air Force Two fleet at its Greenville, Texas facility, CBS News reports. The White House has not provided an immediate comment, and the Defense Department referred inquiries back to the White House.
