“Today every hospital should be equipped with robotics, because this is a completely different, qualitatively new level of care. This example, which we show in Lviv, is only the beginning of changes,” noted Lvov mayor Andrey Sadovyi.
The mayor invited the event participants to visit the First Medical Association of Lviv, on the basis of which the National Rehabilitation Center “Indestructible” operates. (UNBROKEN). There they treat and rehabilitate people from all over Ukraine who have suffered from Russian aggression: military and civilians, adults and children. During the full-scale Russian invasion, 17 thousand wounded were treated here.
The II All-Ukrainian Congress of Working Surgeons continues in Lvov on March 29-30. Da Vinci's work appeared among doctors at St. Panteleimon's Hospital three years ago. Since then, surgeons have operated on more than a hundred patients. The robot helped save lives and confirmed its effectiveness, because patients are discharged home a few days after the intervention and they quickly return to active life. And recently, Lviv surgeons, using a robot, performed the first heart surgery in Ukraine, beginning a new stage in the development of cardiac surgery. robotic.
In addition, the St. Nicholas Children's Hospital also recently received the work of a Da Vinci Si surgeon, and he became the first children's robot with such capabilities in our country.
As Ukrinform reported , surgeons at St. Nicholas in Lviv for the first time operated on an 11-year-old boy with oncology using the Da Vinci Si robotic system, which was donated by philanthropists.
