Ridgeway Elementary School will present six performances of "The Wiz" in June.

Wizard of Oz picture
Fifty-one fourth and fifth graders from the school, under the direction of Vicki Smith, have been rehearsing three times a week since April. Rich Metcalf is providing musical direction, with choreography assistance by Talent Machine Company. Additional students are assisting with stage crew responsibilities. Over fifty parent volunteers have been busily preparing costumes, sets, lights and sound. Many area businesses have shown support through program ads, and by displaying posters. Shows will be June 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, and 15, in the school’s auditorium, at 1440 Evergreen Road in Severn. Friday and Saturday shows will be at 7 P.M., Sunday shows will be at 2 P.M. Tickets are $5.00, and can be purchased at the door, or in advance. To reserve advance tickets, call 410-519-6340.
