The Powerball jackpot has risen to an estimated $1.1 billion after no player won the grand prize in Saturday night’s drawing, according to the Baltimore Chronicle with a link to Powerball’s official website.
The winning numbers for Saturday were 1, 28, 31, 57, and 58, with the Powerball number 16. The next drawing is scheduled for Monday night.
This estimated jackpot marks the sixth-largest prize in the history of the game. The largest prize ever was $2.04 billion, won on November 7, 2022. The Powerball jackpot was last claimed on September 6, when two tickets from Missouri and Texas shared a $1.787 billion prize. There have now been 42 consecutive drawings without a grand prize winner.
If a player wins on Monday, they will have the option to choose either an annual payment totaling approximately $1.1 billion or an immediate lump sum of $503.4 million.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million, according to Powerball. The drawing will take place just before 11 p.m. ET at the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee.
Powerball tickets are sold at $2 per play.
