The total income of Bitcoin miners for 2023 was about $10 billion, and over the last 15 years – $57 billion.
This estimate assumes that miners instantly convert the received assets into fiat. However, according to Lopp, they often resort to a hodling strategy.
According to The Block Research, on December 23, mining profitability per TH/s reached a two-year high of $0.12. On the same day, the difficulty of mining the first cryptocurrency reached a new historical maximum at 72.01 T, increasing by 7%. The average hashrate during the preliminary value change period was 512.55 EH/s.
