Decisions on Poland
“Two decisions on European funds are expected next week, which are now blocked for Poland. They will free up to 137 billion euros for the country. We are talking about funds from the unification funds and funds from the Next Generation EU plan,” said European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
She also noted that about 1.2 billion will be transferred to farmers who are blocking the Ukrainian-Polish border.
< p>Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk said that the funds would go to support agricultural producers, and on this day he called it important, because from the first days of his tenure as prime minister, his goal was, in particular, “restoring the rule of law and democratic standards” .
Recall
The European Union suspended the allocation of these funds to Poland due to concerns about reforms to the country's Supreme and Constitutional Courts during the reign of the country's previous government.
