Military analyst from the «Information Resistance» Alexander Kovalenko made a forecast regarding the upcoming offensive by the Russian Federation.

According to his assessment, starting in June, Russian troops could gradually launch an offensive, but the success of this operation will depend on which villages they can control by then.
By According to Kovalenko, the most problematic for them will be Ivanovskoye, Bogdanovka, Kleshcheevka and Andreevka. At the same time, the expert noted that it is critically important for Russian troops to advance in the direction of the village of Stupochki after the capture of Ivanovsky.
Kovalenko believes that by the summer Russian forces will make maximum efforts to capture Ivanovsky. The 11th separate air assault brigade of the Russian Federation operates in this direction, which sets itself the task of taking Ivanovskoye at any cost.
According to a military expert, Ivanovskoye is important for the occupiers, since from it they can advance in the direction the village of Stupochki and surround Chasov Yar from the southern flank. However, in addition to tactical significance, the Russian command has other motives.
«The fact is that in December 2023 the 11th Airborne Aviation Regiment was withdrawn from under the centralized command of the Russian Ministry of Defense and became subordinate to the Airborne Forces. Thus, this command wants to receive its own budget and its own control center for airborne troops as part of the Russian Army. This 11th Airborne Brigade is indicative. If it demonstrates effectiveness, then the Airborne Forces command will receive a budget that it can spend in subsequent years until the war ends,” Kovalenko explained.
It is for this reason, the expert believes, that Russian paratroopers are not spared in the Ivanovsky area, because commanders only care about the result. Ivanovskoe should be taken earlier than Bogdanovka, Andreevka or Kleshcheevka in order to show the effectiveness of the landing force under one’s own command.
