Ray J was arrested Thursday morning in Los Angeles following an alleged domestic dispute that was reportedly broadcast on a livestream, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to GMA. The singer, songwriter, and actor, 44, whose real name is Willie Norwood and who is the younger brother of multi-platinum artist Brandy, was taken into custody after authorities received a 911 call reporting a domestic incident.

Police informed ABC News that the caller indicated a possible custody dispute and mentioned that Ray J might have been armed. He was processed at the LAPD Van Nuys Station with bail set at $50,000. Representatives for Ray J and his attorneys were contacted by “Good Morning America” for comment.

According to celebrity outlets including TMZ, Ray J appeared to livestream the incident on Instagram, describing it as “the worst Thanksgiving in the f—— world.” Reports suggest that during the livestream, he allegedly took a handgun from a table and argued with Princess Love Norwood regarding custody of their children.

Ray J and Princess Love, who starred together on “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” from 2014 to 2019, share two children: Melody Love Norwood, 7, and Epik Ray Norwood, 5.
