The annual iPhone launch has already taken place, but rumors continue to circulate suggesting that Apple may still unveil several new products before the end of the year. The main question now is whether the company will host a dedicated October event or rely solely on press releases as it has done in the past, reports Baltimore Chronicle citing MacRumors.

Apple’s tradition of fall announcements has not been consistent. In 2021, the company introduced the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models powered by M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, the third-generation AirPods, and new HomePod mini colors. In 2022, new devices were launched without a live event — through press releases only — including the iPad Pro with M2, the 10th-generation iPad, and the third-generation Apple TV 4K. In 2023, Apple returned to the stage with a major event unveiling MacBook Pro models equipped with M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max processors, along with the updated iMac featuring M3. In 2024, the company once again skipped a keynote, announcing the MacBook Pro with M4, iMac, and Mac mini on the M4 chip exclusively via press releases.

According to Bloomberg, Apple is expected to introduce the iPad Pro with the new M5 processor later this year. Industry observers believe the chances of an October keynote are high, since all previous iPad Pro generations from M1 through M4 were showcased during such events. In addition, Apple is reportedly preparing an upgraded version of the Vision Pro headset that will also feature the M5 chip.

Meanwhile, new MacBook Pro models with M5, M5 Pro, and M5 Max processors are anticipated to enter mass production in the coming months, though their release is not expected until early 2026.

Among the products that could appear as early as October are a refreshed Apple TV equipped with the A17 Pro chip, Wi-Fi 7 support, and a built-in FaceTime camera; a new HomePod mini powered by either the S9 or N1 chip with enhanced sound, a second-generation Ultra-Wideband chip, Wi-Fi 7 compatibility, and expanded color options including red; and the second generation of AirTag, which is rumored to offer up to three times the tracking range, a more durable speaker, and alerts for low battery levels.

The upcoming iPad Pro with M5 is also expected to feature dual front-facing cameras, allowing users to take photos and make video calls comfortably in both portrait and landscape orientations. Meanwhile, the Vision Pro headset may launch in a new Space Black finish, include an updated strap for greater comfort, and run on a faster processor.

As for MacBook Pro models with OLED displays and a slimmer design, experts suggest consumers may need to wait until January 2026. The updated Studio Display with mini-LED backlighting could debut either by the end of 2025 or in early 2026. Analysts also note that Apple may be working on a more affordable MacBook powered by the A18 Pro or A19 Pro chips, though its release is not expected until 2025–2026.
