The State Property Fund of Ukraine expects that large-scale privatization will begin in the second half of 2024. It will cover assets worth more than UAH 250 million. The head of the Fund, Vitaly Koval, spoke about this in an interview with Ukrainian Radio.

He noted that large privatization differs from small privatization in the starting price of the book value of assets. Assets worth more than UAH 250 million. by estimated or book value, fall under the criteria for large privatization.

“From the second half of 2024, we are expecting and approaching auctions for large-scale privatization. There will be interesting objects both sanctioned and privatized. For example, “United Mining and Chemical Company”. We are now actively preparing a sanctioned asset, such as the Aerok construction materials plant.

It is arousing keen interest in privatization. Among the interesting objects is the packaging manufacturer PentoPak in Boryspil. There are also port infrastructure facilities – this is the sea trade port of Belgorod-Dnistrovsky,” Koval said.

According to him, the alcohol industry is moving towards a clear denationalization. Among the alcohol factories are the Zarubinsky Spirit Factory, the Pchelovodsky Spirit Factory, Lokhvitsky alcohol plant.

The Chairman of the State Property Fund also said that the Kozatsky Hotel is preparing for privatization.

“The Kozatsky Hotel looks directly at the Ukraine Hotel. This is also the object of a major privatization “. These two hotels should be the decoration of Kyiv. We expect that investors will come there and develop accommodation services in the city. That is, the investment portfolio is huge,” Koval said.
