About the reason why Russian “military correspondents” claim it was Putin’s army that “friendly”, but erroneously attacked, and, as a result, “landed” its own A-50 plane on Friday evening, writes NBN, referring to “Institute for the Study of War” (ISW).
As it became known, the Russian army allegedly inadvertently shot down this A-50, since the occupiers did not take into account systematic problems that they were obliged to eliminate in order to avoid subsequent cases of “friendly fire”. In addition, one of the military commanders of the Russian Federation emphasized: both the A-50 itself and its crew are scarce resources for the aggressor country, since they cannot be easily replaced.
It should be noted that In the same way, the Russian Federation denied the participation of our country's Defense Forces in the events of January 15 (the shooting down of an A-50 and an Il-22 at the same time), trying to direct its efforts “to the demoralization” of the Ukrainians, and also to convince Russian society of the ;that “victory is assured.”
ISW analysts emphasized that such enthusiasm of “bloggers” in attributing absolute incompetence to their own air defenses is the only possible explanation for the numerous cases when planes were shot down by “friendly fire” while helping coordinate the actions of the air defense itself. That is, the situation itself is quite strange, but it reveals some consistency, if we take into account Russia’s direct denial of participation in the “elimination” of all these aircraft of the Ukrainian army.
