About the fact that since the Russian Federation realizes that after Ukraine receives sufficient volumes of Western weapons, the situation will turn against the occupiers, therefore another aggravation of the combat situation on the front line is soon possible, writes NBN, citing the opinion of the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Lieutenant Alexander Pavlyuk, published in The Economist.
According to Pavlyuk, at this stage of the war, the “second army of the world” is throwing all combat-ready equipment to the front, trying to test the already exhausted and insufficiently supplied Ukrainian Defense Forces. In particular, if within one month or two, Ukraine is provided with the promised weapons and ammunition, “the situation may turn against them [the invaders],” the so-called “critical phase.” In addition, the military leader added – now in the Armed Forces of Ukraine there is a shortage of artillery and armored vehicles, but not in people.
The Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized that the Russian Federation will continue to concentrate its offensive efforts on the Lugansk and Donetsk regions, but she has still not given up on ideas for the capture of Kyiv, since she is in a position to “carry out large-scale actions on several fronts at once,” and therefore “is now testing the stability of our lines, first than to choose the most suitable direction.”
