South Africa mourns Jayden Adams
The South African Football Players’ Union announced Adams’ death on July 11. It described the midfielder as a gifted player whose life still held enormous promise.
Sports minister Gayton McKenzie said the country was mourning with Adams’ family, teammates and supporters. FIFA president Gianni Infantino also joined the tributes.
Officials have released no verified details about the circumstances. Reports claiming a specific cause remain unconfirmed.
