Some Ukrainians will be given temporary IDs instead of passports: who will this affect?

Government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk said that the experiment will continue for 2 years in Ukraine & #8212; Instead of a passport, some Ukrainians will be issued a temporary certificate.

This information was reported by Radiotrek, reports URA-Inform.  

The corresponding decision was made in the Cabinet of Ministers on the eve of the weekend.

In particular, we are talking about those citizens of Ukraine who are in territories where hostilities are ongoing or temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation. First of all, such a strategy was agreed upon for the return of Ukrainian citizens from temporarily occupied territories through third countries.

The procedure for implementing the pilot project determines the procedure for its registration.

Temporary certificates will be issued to persons who have lost their Ukrainian passport , but previously issued it or a passport to travel abroad using the funds of the Unified State Demographic Register.

Or for which there is information about the execution of these documents, which is recorded in the form of electronic data in the departmental information system of the State Migration Service.&nbsp ; As well as persons under 18 years of age for whom there is no information in the Register or in the departmental SMS system.
