At the beginning of last month, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a “mobilization” bill in the 1st reading, and now people’s representatives are working on about 4,000 amendments made to this document.

About why amendments to this bill do not provide for maintaining the provision on “freezing” accounts as a form of punishment for “deviators,” writes NBN, citing a statement by the deputy head of the parliamentary committee on national security issues, Yegor Chernev, published by Ukrainian News.

According to Chernev, instead of blocking the cards/accounts of unscrupulous military servicemen, he proposes introducing an increased amount of fines (from 150,000 to 200,000 hryvnia—the executive service will be able to take away money and seize property), which will be more effective. The Deputy Head of the Defense Committee believes that blocking cards/accounts will not become an effective norm to attract TCC/SP people, but it may have a negative impact on the economy of Ukraine.

In particular, even at the moment, when the law has not yet come into force, citizens began to massively withdraw funds from their bank accounts (somewhat contradicts today’s statement by the head of the National Bank Andrey Pyshny that in fact Ukrainians do not “zero out” deposits in anticipation of approval of the “mobilization “of the draft law – all this is “stuffing” of Russian propaganda), paralyzing the country's economy.

Earlier, we wrote about the fact that Venislavsky told which of the citizens would receive a “reservation” from the conscription after adoption mobilization bill.
