A modern computed tomograph has been installed in the Chernivtsi city children's clinical hospital.
The Ministry of Health reports this, Ukrinform reports.
As noted, the General Electric tomograph The Optima CT520 was purchased as part of a joint project between the Ministry of Health and the World Bank.
According to the Ministry of Health, in 2023, the city children's clinical hospital received 11,525 patients, of which 1,200 required examination on a computed tomograph. Such patients had to be transported and provided with medical care services in other medical institutions.
Now, thanks to modern equipment, doctors will be able to quickly diagnose pathological conditions, carry out differential diagnostics, determine subsequent treatment tactics for patients, etc. /p>

The computer tomograph has already been installed in the hospital, and medical personnel are undergoing qualified training to work with the equipment.
<p At the same time, the hospital submitted a package of necessary documents to State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine. After providing the appropriate permit for the right to operate the CT scanner, the device will begin full operation. As reported earlier, within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the World Bank, the newest CT scanner was installed at the Lviv Regional Clinical Diagnostic Center.
