Photo In Krivoy Rog, solar power plants are being installed for hospitals and social security institutions.
Chairman of the Krivoy Rog Defense Council Alexander Vilkul announced this in a Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“At the first stage, we provided all healthcare institutions with generators at the expense of the city budget. And now we are installing solar power plants. It has already been installed for one hospital, the process has begun for the second and for two social protection institutions, Vilkul informed.
According to him, the city is also modernizing public sector buildings: “17 kindergartens, 18 schools and one out-of-school institution are already taking part in the project. And the number of objects will grow. We insulate walls, install heating units, new windows, replace heating systems, etc.
Vilkul noted that the partners of these projects are the United Nations ( UNDP).
“To expand opportunities, we signed a Memorandum of Systemic Cooperation with the UNDP Permanent Representative in Ukraine Jaco Cilliers, within the framework of which 17 projects will be implemented in the city,” Vilkul specified.
As the agency reported, a solar power plant is being built on the territory of a hospital in the Poltava region.
