conduct brain diagnostics using artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence began to be used when conducting diagnostic studies at the Zhytomyr Regional Clinical Hospital.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, reports Ukrinform.

«Artificial intelligence began to be used during diagnostic studies at the Zhytomyr Regional Clinical Hospital, – the message says.

It is noted that this is already the fifth medical institution that has adapted the telemedicine solution “BrainScan”, which Ukraine received as humanitarian aid. Previously, the device had already begun to be used in Razdelny, Odessa, as well as in front-line Kramatorsk.

The Ministry of Health explained that Brainscan – is a cloud-based solution based on artificial intelligence that detects damage and pathology of the human brain. The technology helps the doctor get an alternative thought to prevent possible medical errors, and speeds up diagnosis when time is a critical factor in a person’s life.

During the adaptation of the solution using BrainScan, more than 600 brain diagnostics were carried out.</

The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine with the support of the USAID project “Sustainable development of national healthcare systems in Ukraine” (LHSS).

As reported, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Brainscan telemedicine services project (Poland) are collaborating to provide Ukrainian medical institutions with access to specialized software and mobile applications that allow them to use the Brainscan telemedicine service.
